About Democracy 2028
Democracy 2028 is a grassroots, open-source, evidence-based policy framework for strengthening American democracy and governance. It is structured as a comprehensive, chapter-by-chapter blueprint covering every federal agency and major policy area.
What This Is
This project is modeled on the scope of major policy frameworks like the Heritage Foundation's "Project 2025: Mandate for Leadership" — but grounded in democratic values, empirical evidence, and constructive governance.
This is not a partisan document. It draws on research and principles from across the political spectrum. The frame is "good governance and democratic accountability," not left versus right.
How It Works
Every chapter is written by subject-matter experts, reviewed by practitioners and researchers, and published openly under a Creative Commons license. Every factual claim has a source. Every recommendation is specific and actionable.
The full project is hosted on GitHub. Anyone can propose edits, flag factual errors, or apply to write a chapter in their area of expertise.
